Today is day 27 of my "pix a day" until my 44th birthday.. hope you guys aren't getting tired of these. So here I am at age 27. Back in the day when I had a good set of curls on my head I would frost the tips. I miss my curls.
I went to Best Buy today to pick up a new keyboard and mouse. My current keyboard is so old that many of the letters on the keys are worn away and my mouse track ball keeps sticking and it is driving me crazy. I have always wanted to try a wireless keyboard and mouse. I know folks say they tend to go through batteries but I like the idea of not having to deal with any wires. So far I'm loving them.
I continued to work on the my next Alien Nation podcast, it's to be released in three days. Don't know why it's taking me to so long to edit this episodes, it's not particularly hard, just not feeling motivated. I got about 2/3d's of it done today but I'll have it all finished and ready to go by the 10th.
Tonight Jes, Dallas and I watched the latest episode of the new Doctor Who. The episode is titled "Robot of Sherwood". In Sherwood forest, the Doctor finds an evil plan from outer space, and
makes an alliance with Robin Hood. With Nottingham at stake, the Doctor
must decide who is real and who is fake.
This was an okay episode, it was a bit silly and fun. I enjoyed the second half more then the first. I'm still trying to adjust to Capaldi's Doctor but I am enjoying Clara's interaction with this doctor better then I did with Smith. I think the first three episodes are good, but I haven't watched one that just blew me away. Next weeks looks to be a bit spooky.. look forward to seeing it.

Frozen Knock Knock & Sherlock Goodness
Today I actually got more work done on my vacation blog posts and pictures. I don't know why it's taken me so long to post pictures and write about my experience, but it is. So I'm getting closer to finishing up my blog posts and I still have a few thousand pictures to go through before posting some to Facebook.
I came across this funny knock knock joke that I had to share on Twitter and Facebook so of course I have to blog about it. Knock Knock... Who's There... You... You Who? Yoo-Hoo Big Summer Blow Out. It brings a smile to my face everyday I read it... love Frozen.
If I had the money I'd be buying this in a heartbeat, but instead it will go on my "wish list"

Since I really don't have anything else to blog about today I'm going to post tomorrow's "pix a day" today. So tomorrow is day 26 so here I am at age 26. This is one of my favorite pictures of me. I remember when we took this picture. The other person in the picture is my good friend Jerad. We were co-workers and then roommates for years. He's moved away and I miss him everyday.

Doctor Visit & My Little MiP
Day 24 of my "pix a day" until my 44th birthday. So here I am at Age 24. This was taken after a long day of hard work and a bunch of us went out to grab a drink.
Today was my annual physical. I was not looking forward to this as I knew I had not lost any weight from a year ago and I hate disappointing my doctor, though he is always very supportive. Everything looked and sounded good. But they took quite a bit of blood to test all the inside things and I'll find out more about that stuff on Monday. I did have them check my ear as it's still plugged from three days ago. He noticed that I had ear wax pressed up against my ear drum. He's thinking when I got water in the ear and then put the rubbing alcohol and q tip in he thinks it dislodged some earwax and I push it further into my ear against my ear drum. So the nurse came in and flushed out my ear several times and that did the job. I can ear now.. woohoo!!
Today I got a surprise in the mail.. well it wasn't a surprise as I knew it was coming but I didn't know I was getting it this soon. One of the perks of being a judge at the Geekie Awards this year was a little robot called MiP (check out the website HERE). We got a coupon in the mail about a week ago informing us to email this person at WooWee (who produce them) and give them your name, address and color of your MiP. And then less then a week later he showed up at my door. I've just started to learn all that he can do but it's pretty awesome. I took a short video of him dancing.

Pix A Day, Outlander Ep4 & SHIELD S2
Pix a day until my 44th birthday continues with Day 23. Here I am at age 23. This picture was taken at my job. I worked for 8 years at the, now gone, department story Mervyn's.
It's funny as I look back at these pictures of me in my late teens and early 20's I realized how cute I actually was. But back then I didn't feel that way. I thought I was very unattractive and that effected my self esteem. I just wish I would have realized this back then.. my life would definitely be different.
I got to watch the fourth episode of my new favorite time traveling tv series Outlander. It's title The Gathering, Claire plots her escape during a large clan gathering at Leoch, but Jamie convinces her that her plan will fail. Escorting her back, he finds himself in the dangerous political position with Colum MacKenzie that he had been trying to avoid, but manages to maneuver himself out of trouble. Claire earns Dougal's respect while tending a dying man on a boar hunt, and decides to take her with him on his rent collecting tour of Colum's domain.
Another fantastic episode, I knew Clarie wasn't going to be able to escape but I like how they did it. I was worried for a moment when Dougal saved Claire from the three guys from raping her but then he turns on her and almost does the same.. but luckily she's a kickass fighter and put him in his place. I like that they are taking it on the road and that Claire will be part of that adventure. I think will be getting more "action" and less stationary castle stuff that we have had the past three episodes. Can't wait for episode 5
They released a teaser trailer for the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. I can't wait!!!

Podcast, Ramen & Maleficent Again
Today is day 22 of my "pix a day" until my 44th Birthday. So here's a picture of me at Age 22. This picture of from my first trip to San Fransisco. With my friend Lisa we just decided to head up to SF for the weekend. We were only there for a few days, we did one night in a hotel room and another in my car. This picture was taken at a hat store. Those sunglasses are mine and I liked to look of this top hat.
I released another new episode of my MASH 4077 Podcast. 1st and 15th of every month and I haven't missed one yet. Today I released episode 86 which covers S4 Episode 14 titled "The Gun". You can download or take a listen to the podcast HERE.
Today for lunch I went to a new Ramen place down the street. I had never had "authentic" Ramen before. We were saying goodbye to my friend Chris who was heading back to Montana. Joining us for this "goodbye" lunch was Jes, Dallas, Haley and Chris of course. It was very tasty food and good company.
Chris' visit this time was different from past visits, normally when he comes to visit I pick him up from the airport, he stays in my guest room, we hang out for the majority of his visit and then I drive him to the airport and say goodbye. This time around it was different as I did pick him up from the airport and he stayed at my place the first night but that was it. We did hang out on Friday and again on Sunday for a few hours and then a few hours for lunch today. I guess I should get use to these kinds of visits in the future as all friendships change over time for better or worse.
After lunch Jes, Dallas and I went to the local "cheap" theater to watch Maleficent. I saw a sneak preview when it came out earlier this year, so this is my second time seeing this. You can read my original blog post/review HERE. I loved it just as much if not more then I did the first time I saw it. I can't wait for this movie to come out on blu-ray in November. I even plan on going back to the cheap theater to see it a few more times.

Will's BBQ Party & The Tick
I'm continuing my "pix of day" until my 44th birthday. Today is day 21 of here I am at Age 21. This was the first time I had ever had a beer. Yes I was a good boy and didn't drink before turning 21, so on my 21st birthday I went to the super market and purchased a six pack of beer and to my disappointment the cashier did not ask for my driver license.
Today my buddy Will was having a Welcome to California/Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa/Labor Day BBQ. He invited some of his friends over to partake in the festivities. I picked up my buddies Jes and Dallas and then headed out to Rancho Palos Verdes. We arrived around 3pm and the party was in full swing.
Of course we had to say Happy Birthday to Will's grandfather, who was very sweet. We hung out a bit before jumping in the pool. My first jump in I managed to get water in my ear and couldn't get it out. I tried q tips, rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, but nothing was working.
We played the "toothpick" game. Everyone stands around the pool and one person puts a toothpick between their toes and then jumps in and releases the toothpick at the bottom of the pool. Once they are out everyone begins to search for the toothpick. If you see it you have to jump in and on your way down you have to try and grab the toothpick. If you miss you can't continue to try and grab it, you must get out and try again. This game was introduced to us last year by Will. We played for hours and hours.
In the evening we sat around and ate some tasty BBQ, chatted and played some Cards Against Humanity for a few hours before calling it a night. It was some fun times... though my ear is still plugged.
I came across this and was excited to hear the news " The much-loved TV version of The Tick was axed by Fox in its first season, after just nine episodes. Now, it looks like the Big Blue Bug of Justice is back! According to People, the show is being revived by Amazon – and Patrick Warburton will star! And original creator Ben Edlund will write and produce! SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!
Now nothing is set in stone and this may never go anywhere but the fact that news is making the rounds if pretty cool.. You can read more about this fantastic news HERE
