A Healthier Me - Day 36

Wow.. feels like forever since I worked out last.. I forgot last Friday to work out. It was busy day and the next thing I knew it was 11pm and turned to Harry and said... oh crap I forgot to work out. Guess I'll workout one day during the weekend to make up for it. Well that didn't happen, I had a really tough weekend trying to motivate myself not only to work out but to work on my podcast or do pretty much anything.

So I have not worked out for three days but it wasn't hard getting back into the swing of things. And as I said last week I increased my workout weights by 15 to 20 lbs each. Also still doing 45 minutes of cardio, which is great.

It's Monday so that means weight in day. Current weight is 211

Today's Workout:

30 minutes of cardio on the elliptical
3 sets of ten on the chest fly for my chest (75 lbs)
3 sets of ten on the curl arm for my biceps (45 lbs)
3 sets of ten on the free weight (110 lbs)
3 sets of ten working on my back (75 lbs)

So I lost 2 more lbs last week. Still not losing nearly as much as I was hoping. I am happy to say that Harry and I went food shopping this past weekend and did pretty good at not buying any junk food and really looking at labels to void high fats, high carbs and high sodium. I'm hoping to not eat out all week this week and see what kind of difference that will make in my next week weight in.

Thanks everyone for your continued support.

  2. The mark of someone who is committed is that they won't give up just because they didn't do everything perfectly.

As for 2 lbs. a week, that's good! Weight that is lost faster than that often comes right back on. It's slow steady loss that you want to see. In fact, if you're building muscle you might not see any loss for a while because muscle weighs more (but burns more calories at rest than fat does).
