Birthday & Meteors

Today is my Dad's birthday, he turns 66. Happy Birthday Dad. I was heading out to see him but first I did a 25 minute workout on the elliptical and played a little LOTRO.

I left my house at 11am, expecting to get to my dad's around 12:30pm. Well traffic was horrific and it took me 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there. Once I was there we headed out to Claim Jumper for lunch as my dad wanted Prime Rib and my brother mentioned that Claim Jumper had the best. But once we were there we found out that they changed their menu and took Prime Rib off. I asked if he wanted to go somewhere else but he said since we are already here let's just stay and he would get something else. So we enjoyed a nice lunch. After lunch we headed over to Walmart so I could buy him Avengers DVD for his birthday.. we were then off to Toys R Us so he could pick up some Yo Gabba Gabba toys for my niece for her birthday (which is still months away). We then stopped by CVS so he could pick up his prescriptions and then we headed home.

By time we got home Mike, Lora, Kenobi and Molly were home so I got to visit with them for a bit. I also tried to print out some scripts for the webseries I'm working on. We are planning a rehearsal and I wanted to get scripts made and since my printer is broken I was hoping to use my brothers but for some reason the script wouldn't print out in the correct format... I tried for over an hour to get them to work before giving up. I'll have to look online and see how you're suppose to print scripts from this program.. I'm thinking that I'll need to buy the "pro" version of the script writing program to print the scripts out properly.. but first I'll see if I can find a "go around".  I did print out some NDA's (Non-Disclosure Agreement) so the cast can sign them before we do the rehearsal.

I left my Dad's around 6pm, stopped by my favorite Chinese restaurant and picked up some dinner then drove home. I got to my place around 8pm and my buddy Robert joined me about 10 minutes later. Tonight I was having a impromptu Perseid meteor shower viewing party. It was starting at 11pm but Robert wanted to come over early to hang out.  There were about 15 people coming but a few hours before 11pm I started getting texts from folks cancelling. First 1 then 2, then 3 and finally a total of 10 people canceled for various reasons. I was kind of bummed but also happy that this wasn't an offical party and I didn't waste money on snacks and drinks. The only thing that got wasted was time spent getting my back deck ready, moving tables and chairs around.

Lydia arrived around 10:30pm. Robert, Lydia and I went out back around 11:30pm and started looking for shooting stars. It was a perfect night as there wasn't a cloud in the sky.. it was so clear that you could see the Milkyway. Only issue we had was a very bright light in my neighbors driveway (which is on my property), but that was taken care of by placing a cardboard box around it. We saw about 20 or so meteors before Will and Becca arrived at Midnight. They joined in on the star gazing fun. Robert called it quits around 1am, Will and Becca called it quits around 1:30am and Lydia and I went in around 2am.  So we were outside watching for meteors 2 and a half hours and saw about 40 meteors, and about half of those were so bright and you could see the tail for a few seconds afterwards. It was pretty amazing.

Lydia drove back to her place while Robert, Will and Becca crashed at mine.

Though 70% of my guests bailed, the four folks who did make it made it a very fun time.  Thanks Robert, Lydia, Will and Becca for sharing this experience with me. I hope you guys enjoyed the
Perseid meteor shower viewing party.

A Friend, Paris and Webseries

Today I woke up and did my 20 minute elliptical workout and played a little LOTRO before my friend Lydia (who is visiting from Switzerland) came over to hang out. We grabbed some lunch and then came back to my place to watch a movie. She went through all my screeners from last year and selected a few. One that I hadn't seen and she said was good was Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris.

Here's a quick synopsis: While on a trip to Paris with his fiancée's family, a nostalgic screenwriter finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s every day at midnight.

Now I'm not a Woody Allen fan but with that said I've only seen a few of his movies but those that I have seen just weren't for me. But this one sounded a bit whimsical and I love whimsy.

Here's my review of Midnight in Paris.. Overall I loved this movie..  It was fun, well written, very sweet and so entertaining. I mean they never explained how or why this guy would go back in time everyday at midnight. But that really didn't matter as the characters were so rich and interesting. I loved that he was so into it, it took him only a few minutes to understand what was going on and he never questioned it if it was real or not. All the acting was amazing, they got some great actors to portray some of our most prolific artists and writers of the century.

I'm glad Lydia made us watch this as I am now thinking about going back and watching a bit more of Woody Allen movies. I liked his writing and his characters and the way the interacted. I know the Purple Rose of Cairo has some whimsy to it, so I think I'll check that out next. So I give Midnight in Paris a solid B+

After the movie we chatted for a bit, she also helped me water my trees around my property. We said goodnight around 8pm. Hopefully I'll get to see her one more time before she leaves, she might come to my meteor shower viewing party that I'm having on Saturday.

After Lydia left my focus shifted to the webseries that Chris and I are working on. We decided on a font (Pyriform) that we will be using for the main title (woohoo). I spent the next half hour trying to write a synopsis of the series as a whole and that's alot harder to do then you would think. The point of the synopsis is to get people interested in the series, but it needs to be short (about a paragraph) and to the point and that's tough to do.

And after a half hour I gave up and moved on to playing some LOTRO to end my night. It was a fun day, got to visit with my friend, was introduced to a great movie that has lead to my reevaluating my thoughts about Woody Allen films and I got some work done on my webseries.. so all in all a good day.

"Get Fit" 1 Week Later

So it's been a full week since my "doctor's" appointment and I was warned that I am on the verge of Diabetes. From that day on I swore I would start working out again, start eating healthier and "get fit". Well here's my one week report.

I have worked out everyday (all 7 days). I do 20 to 30 minutes on the elliptical once and even twice a day. I have cut down on snacking alot and I have only eaten "fast food" once during that seven days. I still struggle with the eating but I know it's not going to change over night. I'm very happy with my working out and I think I'll start integrating weight training along with the elliptical.

I weight 210 at the doctors office and today I weight 204.. I lost 6 pounds in seven days... not bad.

I know this isn't a short term thing. I have to continue this for the rest of my life if I want to continue to lose weight and maintain a health lifestyle. Thanks to all who sent me words of encouragement this past week, it meant alot to me.

Workout, Blogging and LOTRO

Did my workout first thing this morning, been doing 20 minutes on my elliptical during the morning and then again doing another 20 at night. Only manage to do the morning one today, I tried to do my night set but wasn't feeling so hot and just couldn't find the will power to do it. I'm bummed that I didn't get it done but then again it's only been a few days of this new 'get fit' kick and I did do 20 this morning so that's something. Still trying to adjust to this "new" routine.

I worked on the yard for a few hours and believe me that's a workout all unto it's own. Trying to make this place look presentable for possible buyers. Still need to finish the painting of the house before it can go on the market, but I still hope to have it up by the end of August. (Finger's crossed)

I did alot of blogging today and finally caught up with my daily blog. When I'm caught up like this I have time to blog about stuff in my head. The topics vary from personal views about hot topics, observations about human behavior and some are just rants. I tend to start to write them and not really be able to get my thoughts down in written form so I usually set them aside and come back to them at a later date.. well today I was able to finally finish another one.

I love blogging, I know I don't have a large readership but I don't care.. I blog partly to keep everyone (Friends and Family) up to date on my life, partly because I like getting things off my chest, partly because it's like a daily dairy and most of all it's fun for me.

I finished my day with some LOTRO play, the Summer Festival that was suppose to end a few days ago is still going so I continue to do their daily tasks. It's a nice way to end my day, and a good stress reliever.

Miscommunication Online

Am I the only one who has a hard time interpreting what someone has said online via, a tweet, facebook post, blog post or a post on a forum. Sometimes I read a comment and think to myself.. wow that's mean or that was rude, but many times its not meant that way, it's just the way I read it. I mean sarcasm or jokes are tough to convey with just written words. Many people can read the exact same sentence or comment and interpret it many different ways. I try not to let what I read from some folks hurt me or effect me negatively but sometimes it does. If I'm a good friend with them I'll let them know that it bothered me I will respond with "what did you mean by that" or "I hope you didn't mean the way that sounded".

I also started to re-read my tweets, posts and blogs to see if they could be interpreted any other way. As some folks have reacted negatively to things that I have said/posted. When I write blog posts I'll go back several times to just make sure you can't misinterpret what I'm saying for anything other then the way it was intended.. of course that doesn't always happen. I guess there really is no way around it. I've had a few miscommunications via the internet that have lead to a fair amount of hurt feelings and weakening of friendship bonds.  But I guess you have to take the good, the internet can do with the bad.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters - My Review

After watching The Wolverine I went and saw Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. Now the previews for this movie got me really excited. I enjoyed Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief (the first movie). I also have read/listen to the first 4 books in the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Lightening Thief,  The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's Curse and The Battle of the Labyrinth and I started the fifth and final book The Last Olympian but there were issues with the audio book so I never finished the series. I always had intentions to go back and finish it as there are a ton of spin book books from this series and I loved every of this series.

I know with the first movie it didn't do that well at the box office (they were hoping for Harry Potter numbers) and there was complaints that it wasn't a very faithful adaptation. And since I had just read the series when the first movie came out in 2010 I noticed some big changes but honestly it didn't bother me. It think they adapted the story very well. So I was surprised when I heard they were making book two into a movie, but when I went to check out the box office of the first movie it made more sense.. the movie cost around $95 million to make and only grossed $88 million in the US, but thankfully it did well overseas and wound up with a worldwide total of $227 million which is more then twice what it cost and it also did well in DVD sales.

So here the synopsis of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters; The magical borders that protect Camp Half-Blood have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and unless a cure is found, the only safe haven for demigods will be destroyed. Percy and his friends must journey into the Sea of Monsters to save their camp by finding the Golden Fleece. But first, Percy will discover a stunning new secret about his family--he may not be the only son of Poseidon.

Here's my review of Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (there will be SPOILERS). I LOVED IT!!!!! I walked out of that theater with a huge smile on my face. Normally when you walk out of the theater there is always one or two things that you didn't quite like but I actually walked out of this movie without a single criticism. I haven't done that since Avengers.

I thought the sfx were amazing, the acting was great and the story was fun. Now it's been about three years since I have read the book and I honestly couldn't tell you if this adaptation was any better then the first book but you know what.. I don't care.. this movie rocked it. My favorite character from the movie had to be Tyson. Tyson is Percy's half brother. Seems that Poseidon got busy with a nymph. And the result of Gods and Nymphs are cyclops. I really enjoyed Tyson in the books but I totally fell in love with him in the movie. I think I identified with him more. Socially awkward, uncomfortable with his appearance but he's so loving and he's so happy to be part of the gang. Nathan Fillion plays Hermes and is fantastic, he's in it for about ten minutes but it's a very memorable scene. He even get to do a reference to Firefly, which is AWESOME!!! Hermes is talking to Percy and mentioned a TV show that he loved (something about Zeus) but then says... "Greatest television show ever so of course, canceled." If you're a Firefly fan you're gonna love it.

After seeing this movie I now not only want to go back and watch the first movie again, I want to re-read the entire series and finish the fifth book. If you haven't read the books.. I strongly suggest you add them to your reading list and if you haven't seen the first movie.. please do yourself a favor and rent it, stream it or better yet go out and buy then see them movie ASAP.. I want the three book made into a film. I give Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters an big ol' A for AWESOME!!!

The Wolverine - My Review

The first movie I saw today was The Wolverine.. here's a short synopsis: In modern day Japan, Wolverine is out of his depth in an unknown world as he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Here is my review (There will be SPOILERS)... First let me say that I actually enjoyed Wolverine: Origins. I mean some of the claw sfx looked unrendered but I enjoyed it overall. As for The Wolverine, I have to admit that the previews did not look appealing to me. I don't know what it was but they just didn't click for me. Now that didn't mean I wasn't going to go see it.. of course I was being a huge fan of X-Men and Hugh Jackman. So I walked out of the theater and thought to myself.. that was good. The effects were amazing, the acting superb and the story was good. They really delved into Wolverines psyche. I love that it picks up right after the events of X-Men 3 and the fact that he killed the woman he loved and how that's messing with his head. I didn't like that the guy he saves at the beginning turns out to be the "bad guy". It was cool seeing Logan's bone claws in the beginning and the end....looks like he's stuck with those now. I did think that there were enough mutants. There were two other mutants in this movie, the girl who could see visions of the last moment of peoples lives (that would be horrible) and then the snake lady whom they called Viper. I did like they little scene in the middle of the credits, with Magneto and Professor X.. a little preview of X-Men Days of Future Past (which I can't wait for). Overall it was a very enjoyable movie, much better then the trailer made it look.. at least to me. I give The Wolverine a solid B

20 Hours of Fun!!!

Got up at 6:30am this morning to make sure I was online to purchase Star Wars Celebration VII tickets. The convention isn't until April of 2015, yeah that's a year and a half away bu they were selling tickets and I didn't want to miss out and nowadays these kinds of cons tend to sell out fast. So I was up super early and on the computer, several friends got together in a Facebook chat room so we could help each other get tickets. 7am came and we all clicked the link. We were placed into a queue and waited.. it seemed liked forever but it was really only a few minutes when the screen popped up and I was able to purchase tickets. I had planned to buy my brother and I tickets but my buddy Robert mentioned he wanted a pass and my buddy Chris, who was in queue with us, wasn't having any luck so I got one for him as well. So I purchased four 4 day passes to 2015's Star Wars Celebration VII. It's going be awesome, I went to Celebration IV when it was held in Los Angeles, but I only went for the weekend instead of the full four days and I always regretted that. So this time I was going to get a pass for the full four days. Celebration V & VI have happened in Orlando, FL the past several years so when I heard that VII was going to be in Anaheim I couldn't pass it up. Yes I know I don't have money but this was defiantly credit card worthy.

When the tickets were purchased I was thinking of going back to bed as I hadn't slept well the night before but I figured I was up already so I guess I should start my day.

I have spent four days in my house and have not seen another human being. So today I made plans to get out of the house and try and spend as little money as I could. Since it is Wednesday I knew I'd be heading over to my buddy Roberts for our weekly TV night, but what to do before hand.

Before I left the house I did my 20 minute elliptical workout, showered and decided to go see a movie since it's been awhile since I've been to the movies. I wanted to try and see several movies before I had to head down to Roberts. I checked the listings and The Wolverine and Percy Jackson: Sea on Monsters times lined up perfectly.

Got to the theater around 10:30am and purchased my ticket for The Wolverine and then after that was over I went to watch Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. I plan to do a separate blog review for both of those movies.. so stay tuned. Needless to say I enjoyed both of those movies.. but one was my favorite.

After the movie I got a text from my buddy Dallas letting me know that they were having an impromptu dinner at 8:30 at Pitfire Grill, and he wanted to know if I was interested. Of course this is Robert and my TV night so I opted out and headed down to my buddy's place in Mar Vista.

It's always awesome seeing Robert, he and I talk almost everyday via Facebook messenger but it's not the same as seeing him in person, he's about to lift my spirits with just a look and I love him for it. Robert is one of the few people that I'm willing to drive 90+ miles to see week after week.

Anyways we picked back up with our first time Babylon 5 watch. We also ordered Pizza and Buffalo wings for dinner. This was my first junk food in five days. I actually didn't eat any other out food because I knew I'd be having some with Robert.

First episode for tonight is S1 Ep8 "And The Sky Full of Star" Sinclair is kidnapped and interrogated by two men determined to prove he betrayed Earth during the Battle of the Line.

I enjoyed this episode, it wasn't all moral and deep like the other episodes we watched tonight but it did progress the Captain storyline and the missing 24 hours.. also confirmed what we expected.. Delenn is up to something and part of that missing 24 hours.

Next up we watched S1 Ep 9 "Deathwalker" Na'Toth attacks an alien woman that has just arrived on the station, claiming that she is the Dilgar war criminal Jha'dur — known as Deathwalker. And Talia is hired by Kosh to oversee some rather strange negotiations.

Another great episode, it made you really think what would you do. This murderer who has killed countless aliens over the years comes to you with a drug that will give immortality and cure all diseases. Does the billions that this drug would save outway the millions that she and her race killed. I really didn't know how they were going to resolve this issue but the writers came up with a really good solution. Of course Kosh had something else in mind and destroyed the ship with this women in it. And his excuse was that humans weren't ready for immortality. Kosh was a dick in this episode.. not only did he do that but he baited the telepath so he could get some dirt on her for the future.

And our final episode of the night, S1 Ep10 "Believers" An alien couple comes to Dr. Franklin with their fatally ill son. The child could be cured by a simple operation, but the parents' religion specifically forbids it. Meanwhile Ivanova escorts a damaged star liner through raider territory.

This was another amazing episode and once again got Robert and I debating who was in the right. A doctor can cure this kid but it goes against all of the parents faith and everything they believe in.  What do you do. This episode took turns I didn't see coming.. neither did the doctor. He actually does the surgery and when the parent find out they take their son and kill him. According to them cutting into the body releases the soul and he was no longer their son. Such a shocking ending.  There was this B story that was never really completed and a waste of time.. they could have filled this entire episode with just the A story.

Both Robert and I are loving season one of Babylon 5 so far and according to friends this is the weakest of the seasons.. so I guess we're in for a fun ride.

While we were watching episodes Believers, Jes texted Robert asking if we were coming to Dallas' impromptu Birthday party dinner. Both Robert and I were confused.. Dallas never said it was his birthday dinner that he was having. So we debated on leaving our TV night and heading over for dinner (well not dinner since we already ate). Robert really wanted to go and I was on the fence as I didn't want to spend more money on gas and food. If Dallas had told us this info in the beginning we wouldn't have done TV night and we'd just do the dinner so I was going to opt out.. but Robert came up with a solution to me not wasting gas. We'd go together and he would drive. That way I wouldn't have to use any more gas, the only downside is we'd be a half hour from my place at Pitfire Grill but I'd have to go back to Robert's for my car and once again be an hour an 15 from my place. But since I have no job it didn't matter how late I was out to.. so we headed out to meet up with some friends to celebrate Dallas' birthday.

We got to Pitfire Grill about 8:45, so we weren't to late. Jes, Jen and Dallas were already there. We actually surprised Dallas as he really didn't think we were coming as we told him we weren't not knowing what this party really was... so that was fun. Soon we were joined by Will, Becca and finally Luis. Everyone ate while Robert and I had some water. We talked D&D, we talked about the upcoming rehearsal for our webseries.. it was a fun dinner. Afterwards we headed over to Jes and Dallas' place for some cake and ice cream.. Jess made this very tasty cake and made some homemade ice cream sandwich. We hung out until about 11:30 before we called it a night. I got back to Robert's place around 12:10 and back to my place by 1:30am

It was a long 20 hour day, up at 6:30 and in bed by 2am but it was a blast. I spent very little month, got to spend some quality time with my best bud Robert and got to hang out with some of my most dearest friends.. it was win, win, win all around.

Webseries, LOTRO & Fitness

Started my day by scrolling through 2000+ fonts looking for just the right one for the title of Chris and my new webseries. I don't know how people do this. When we introduce the title and synopsis of the webseries I want it to be just right but there are thousands and thousands of different kind of fonts. Out of the first 2000, I picked about eight or so that I liked and then sent them off to Chris for is opinion. But there are still another 2400+ left on this 1001fonts.com website... it's just crazy.

But with that said it's fun moving forward on the webseries. I set up a rehearsal for the first five episodes. I'm super excited to hear the words on the page come to life. I'm working on the synopsis for the series as well as the look of the title (as mentioned above). Should be releasing that info fairly soon.

Played some LOTRO with my buddy Chris and speaking of Chris he informed me that he is being deployed to Kuwait for six months. I'm writing a separate blog with my thoughts on that.

I'm continuing my "get fit" plan. I worked out for 20 minutes on the elliptical in the morning and again another 20 minutes on the elliptical at night. I still haven't eaten any fast food, I've cut down my diet coke consumption to one a day and I'm trying to watch what I eat here at home. The workouts are great and l enjoy doing them.. but the healthier eating is extremely difficult as I knew it would be for me but I know in time it will get easier.

My Buddy Chris

So I just got word today that my best friend Chris is being deployed to Kuwait for six months. I knew that this could be a possibility for a while now. I mean Chris is in the Air Force but since he works on Nuclear weapons he has always been stateside. When he was transferred up to Montana last year I knew he was looking into deployment abroad. Luckily they don't normally get deployed into combat areas, it's usually security and such at bases and I know it's a good opportunity for him and his career, so I'm extremely happy that's he excited and happy about this.

Personally... I am not happy about this deployment, but that's me being selfish. Even though he lives in Montana we can still visit each other from time to time, it's only a $300 plane ticket. He will be in Kuwait for six months and there is no way of visiting him there... this will be the longest stretch of time that we have gone without seeing each other. Of course we'll still have skype and google hangouts (hopefully he'll have good internet) so hopefully will get to see each other from time to time but it's not the same.. Upside (yeah I'm always looking on the bright side of thing) I'll be able to send him some kick ass care packages and make all his buddies jealous :)

Since the day Chris and I meet we have not gone more then a day or two without talking... if it's not chatting over skype, google hangout or vent, it's text chatting via Facebook messenger or our phones. With him being a half a world away we won't have that luxury of talking everyday and I'm going to miss that. We are also gaming buddies, he's the reason I started playing LOTRO and I love questing with him. Now it looks like I'm going to be going solo with my little Hobbit.

I am not worried (okay maybe a little) that something might happen to him over there, but this is something he want's to do for our country and I'll stand behind him 100%. Chris and my relationship goes beyond friendship... we're family and I wish him all the best on his new adventure. Stay safe bud and you know I love you with all my heart.

What If I Was Straight??

People ask me and I sometimes ask myself...  What if I was straight?? How would my life be different. Would my relationships with family and friends be the same? Would I be married, a father?

I mean at my core I'm a nice guy and a geek, gay or straight that wouldn't have changed. Would I be more outgoing and less shy if I were straight? Where would I be in my life? So many questions and no real good way of answering them.

I guess the better question is "Would I want to be Straight?"

And that's a much harder question to answer....If I could be the same person I am now, but instead of liking boys I'd like girls. My answer would be yes, why not.. My life would be easier, for one thing, I'd probably be married and have kids right now. I wouldn't have to worry about being made fun of or attacked for holding the hand of my partner in public. And it would be a nice change to not have half of the world hate me (without even knowing me) just because of their faith.

But with that said if I were straight I probably wouldn't be the same person, my life would be completely different, as well as my friends.. so I would have to say no, not a chance. I wouldn't want to be straight, not only because I love the friends I have but because I love who I am now and I'm proud of what kind of man I have become... and being gay is part of that.

So yes being straight may have some advantages but I wouldn't give up what I have now.. and that's a pretty good life, surrounded by people who love me.

Where Did The Day Go!!!

Where did the day go.. I feel like I got nothing done today. I had lots of things planned (podcasts, webseries, scrapbooking, yard and house work) but accomplished nothing. I hate days like this. There is no reason for it other then laziness. Again I think being out of work and not being on a schedule really makes you lethargic.

I couldn't even tell you what I did.. I played a few hours of LOTRO with my buddy Chris and I worked out twice for 20 minutes of cardio. I don't remember watching much TV. I did do a bit a blogging (I am not all caught up). I also did do some Geekyfanboy Production work on the computer.. as well as looked for a font for the webseries title that I created with Chris, but I really don't have a clue where my day went. Let's hope tomorrow is better.. I need a good kick in the ass.

I am happy to say that my new "get fit" lifestyle change is going pretty well. As I mentioned did 2, extremely difficult 20 minute workouts on my elliptical. And it's going on three days of no "fast food". When I started this three days ago I weight 210lbs but I weight myself this morning and I'm down to 205... so yay me!! I may be lazy and lethargic but I'm sticking to my workouts.. gotta lose this weight and get healthy.

LOTRO, New Who & Podcasts

Today was all about Lord of the Rings Online. My best bud Chris was off work and didn't have anything to do (which is extremely rare) so we jumped on and played LOTRO from 10am to 4pm.

Playing LOTRO is a blast but my favorite part is the conversations. We talk via vent so it's like having a six hour phone conversation and it's awesome.

While we were playing they announced The new Doctor for Doctor Who, both Chris and I stopped playing when the announcement happened. So the 12th Doctor is going to be Peter Capaldi. I don't know much about him. He did appear in an older Tennant episode of Who.

It was fun watching Twitter, Facebook and social media explode with excitement, hatred and all kinds of crazy. But OMG the hate going on right now. People can be so horrible. I've read that folks are upset that he's to old and unattractive, they are claiming that they will not watch the new Doctor. And you know what.. I don't care. If you are that shallow and you are judging this person by his looks alone then you don't deserve to call yourself a true fan of Doctor Who. If you are watching the show because you find the main actor attractive then you're missing the whole point of Who. Also just because the last few Doctors have been young and attractive the majority of the doctors were older and not as "Hollywood" attractive. I hate that people are already dismissing him from his looks alone. I personally think he looks like a Doctor and I can't wait to see what kind of personality he brings to the role. I for one am extremely happy that they went with an "older" doctor (The actor is in his mid 50's), though I wouldn't have mind if it was a female or a non-white male... maybe next time.

So I found out that I might be overwatering my trees. I looked up how much water my kind of trees need and was shocked to find out that they only need like 1 inch a week. I'm going to do some more investigating but for now I think I'll water them once a week and go from there.

After LOTRO I started working on another episode of MASH 4077 Podcast. I'm determined to get as ahead of the game as I can. Today I worked on Episode 61 which is due to be released on Sept 1st. The audio for this is a mess and it's going to take some major editing to make it to sound good. Tonight I managed to get it all the bits strung together.. tomorrow I will tackle the editing. So excited that I'm getting a jump on these podcasts.. so far I've edited 2 MASH's (working on a 3rd) and an Alien Nation in the past few days... woohoo.

I also got in some cardio today.. I did 2, 15 minute sessions.. I wasn't happy about doing only 15 minutes but my throat wasn't doing great and I guess 2, 15 minute sessions is better then nothing. I also continued to struggle with my eating. I'm happy to say that I haven't snacked the past two days. I'm also limiting my soda down to 1 diet soda a day.. baby steps.
