Breakfast then I was flipping through the channels and caught the beginning of The Breakfast Club so we stopped and watched the entire movie. I love that movie, I haven't seen it in a while so it was fun to revisit it. It's amazing how you can take 5 people in a room talking about being a teenager and turn it into a masterpiece of film making.
After the movie Chris wanted me to play some more games. First up was The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and the second one was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. The only Zelda I played was the very first one for Nitendo. But it was always one of my favorites. A Link to the Past was more old school, with slightly better graphics then the first one and was a lot of fun. The second one Ocarina of Time had way better graphics and the story was very cool. I only played about an hour or so on each game and Chris played an hour or so on each game so I got a good feel for both games. Lots of fun was had.
We then headed out to the Malmstrom Air Force Base. At the main entertance to the base there is this very cool museum of "old" airplanes and other military vehicles including a nuclear missle. We drove by it so many times over the past two weeks and I wanted to stop by and take a closer look and take so pictures.. so we did that today. The weather was clear and perfect for walking about the muesum.
After the museum Chris needed to get a hair cut before he started his new job, so we went to a local place and I waited as he had that done.
Minecraft was next.. I continued to work on my castle. It's such an addicting game. You play for hours and on end and all you have made is a six foot high wall and a few stairs. But it's so much fun and you don't realize how much time is passing by. I'm going to try and continue to play this with Chris from home with my crappy internet.
We had dinner and then started to play Fable. This is another one of Chris' favorite games and after a few hours of both of us playing (we'd switch between missions) it was one of my favorites. I look forward to continuing to play this and inFamous when I get my Xbox.

Adventures in Montana - Day 13
It's getting close to me leaving Montana :( so I booked my flight home. I'll be flying into Burbank airport on Monday at 9pm. My best bud William is going to be picking me up and taking me home. It's bitter sweet as I'm glad to be going home and seeing friends and getting back to my life but I'll be leaving my bestie Chris here in Montana for three plus years.
Step Brothers was next. I have to admit that I had no interest in this movie. I remember the previews and just thinking it looked awful. But I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong. I actually enjoyed this movie. I laughed a lot and had a really good time. I liked the movie though some of it was a bit far fetched that didn't take away from the overall story which was great. Now it's not a movie I could watch over and over again but I'd watch it again if needed.
We had a quick breakfast and then Chris introduced to me Minecraft. I've been hearing alot about this game the past few months.. several of my friends play. I'd be playing as well if I had better internet. We spent the next few hours building our home and exploring caves. You really don't realize how much times flies when you're playing games. Several hours later we took a break to have some lunch.
Next up was another movie that I hadn't seen. This time it was The Forbidden Kingdom. I didn't know much about this movie but it had Jackie Chan so I knew it would have some amazing fight scenes.. and it didn't disappoint. It was a very entertaining movie.
Next I was going to play the original inFamous but Chris couldn't find the game and didn't have it online so he downloaded the demo but wasn't happy with it so he downloaded the entire game, which would take a few hours so we opted to watch another movie that I hadn't seen.
After the movie Chris made a yummy dinner, mac and cheese, rice and broccoli (yes I actually ate some veggies).
By this time inFamous was downloaded and we started to play. Since it's not a two player game we went back and forth with missions and had a blast. We played the rest of the night, about three hours before calling it a night and going to bed.
We didn't leave the house today but had a blast playing video games, watching movies and enjoying ones company.

Adventures in Montana - Day 12
Woke up this morning and began making biscuit and gravy.. it's one of our favorite breakfasts. When I was making breakfast the "internet" guy came to install Chris' internet. About an hour later we were feed and Chris now had super fast internet (I'm very jealous).
Chris noticed that he got paid early so he wanted to go out and grab some things for his house... btw it was pouring outside. Our first stop was the air force base. They have this thing called Airmen's Attic, it's like a thrift store but everything that is donated is given away for free. You must be under a certain rank (which Chris just is) so we went there to see if we could find anything for his house.. the one thing Chris really needed was a microwave and sure enough as soon as we walked in they had one microwave so we grabbed it. Went to the library but it was closed. So we decided to head out.. well the main entrance of the base to closed (drill or something) so we went to the BX and looked around a bit and then went to the actual thrift store but it was closed. Luckily when we went back to the entrance it was opened so we left base and headed to a local Salvation Army. Chris found a toaster and mixer and I found this really cool Mike Wasowski beanie cap.. and the best part it was only $2.
Headed over to another Salvation Army where Chris saw a treadmill that he wanted a few days ago. It was still there so we picked it up and barely got it in his car. We dropped off the treadmill and then went to Target and got more movies and a few kitchen accessories and then our final stop was Home Depot.
After shopping we came back home and planned to stay in the rest of the day playing games. First up was more Borderland, I think I'm getting better with the running and looking around. I'm also not freaking out as much when we are attacked. After Borderlands Chris introduced me to Portal 2. Wow that was a fun game but man it made me feel really stupid at times. Chris was a natural and pretty much told me where to put all my portals.. this is another game I wouldn't mind having and practicing with. After Portal 2 I played Assassins Creeds 2 for about an hour. This game has a pretty long start up where you get to practice jumping, fighting and climbing. By the time I became an Assassin I was done playing.
We had leftovers for dinner and while we ate we watched another movie that I had not seen... The Invention of Lying. It was a fun movie with heart. I couldn't imagine having to say what ever comes to your mind. Life would be so much different.
After the movie we watched a bit a TV before calling it an night.

Adventures in Montana - Day 11
Started off the day with some Super Mario Brothers.. you would think I would get better since I've been playing this the past few days.. not so much. It's still a lot of fun to play but I feel like I just frustrate Chris when I accidentally kill him or put a bubble around me all the time to prevent me from dying.
Chris had me play an hour or so of inFamous 2, never heard of this game and I started right in the middle but man I LOVED this game. I liked the character, the graphics and the effects. I told Chris that this is the game for me. If and when I get my Xbox or PS3 I will be buying this game for sure. I had the best time playing it.
After inFamous and a quick bite to eat for lunch we went back to a two player game.. Star Wars Lego. I played a bit of this in the past by myself but it's very different when you're playing with another person.. we had loads of fun with this game.
After Star Wars we watched another movie that I had not seen but was on Chris' "I must watch" list. Book of Eli. I remember when this came out in theaters and it peaked my interest. The movie was slow but not in a bad way. It was very entertaining, I liked the story and the acting was great. Chris asked if I got that the main character was blind and I had no idea, which makes what he did even cooler. I really enjoyed this movie.
After the movie I gave Chris his "final" going away present. I have been working on this "scrapbook" for months. I wrote a poem and little introductions to each section. There are three to four pictures on each page with words "thoughts" that I wanted to share with him. It was the first time I ever made a scrapebook and it was a lot of work but it was well worth it. Chris means the world to me and I wanted to give him something that would represent the past year and all the AWESOME things we had done together. I think it turned out great and Chris really liked it.
We ran to Albertsons to get a few more bottles of wine as Chris planned to grill some steaks.. and when we have steaks we must drink wine. :) As always Chris grills some of the tastiest steaks around.
We watched a bit of TV before calling it a night.

Adventures in Montana - Day 10
Chris had to go into work for a few hours today so I worked on my blogs. Since I had no internet here I just wrote them in a word type document and will cut an paste them later... I'm so far behind on my blogging. When Chris got home we had a late breakfast/early lunch and then played some more Super Mario Brothers. I'm still pretty bad but Chris says I'm getting better.
After Super Mario Chris wanted to introduce to me one of his favorite games Borderlands. This is a first person shooter game and I have played a bit of these in the past with my buddy Will but always had a hard time moving and controlling the head. And it seemed I still have those issues. We played for a few hours and it was lot of fun. I think I got better with my moment as the game went on.
We took a break from Borderlands and went back to Super Mario Brothers for a bit. We were going to have spaghetti and meatballs for dinner but had no beef so we made a run to Albertsons. While there Chris mentioned that he would make meatballs from scratch and if he was going to do that he wanted to make the sauce from scratch as well. So we buy all the supplies and headed back to his place.
It was fun cooking with Chris, he prepared the sauce and noodle while I made the meatballs. I never made meatballs but with Chris' instruction it was pretty easy. About an hour later we were enjoying some home made spaghetti and meatballs with some yummy garlic break for dinner.
With dinner we had some wine. Now I'm new to wine and am not a big fan. Chris has been slowly getting me to appreciate it more, but we did find one that I really like Riesling. So we drank of bottle of that as well as some Merlot. Half hour later we were both bit tipsy and then Chris suggested that we play some Super Mario Brothers. I figured I'm drunk and already suck at it.. how much worse can I do. We had a really fun time.
After Mario Brothers and because of the glasses of wine we were both tired and called it a night.

Adventures in Montana - Day 9
Now that we have food Chris made some breakfast for us. After breakfast we did a few more levels in Super Mario Brothers... I still suck.
The Direct TV guy came to install Chris' TV, which took a few hours. I continued to catch up on writting my blog.
After the Direct TV guy left we had to get the moving truck and trailer back to Budget. Only problem is the nearest location was in Helena which is about 100 miles south of here so it would be a four hour round trip. We drove back to base and put the car on the trailer before heading south. The drive was uneventful and we found the budget place fairly easy. We pulled the car off the trailer and Chris returned the truck and trailer.
We stopped by a Walmart because Chris wanted to see if he could find any movies that I haven't seen yet.. but no luck at this one. Chris was really hungery so we went to a Subway that was inside Walmart. I actually had a few bites of Chris' sandwich which was full of veggies, and if you know me that's a big deal. The funny thing is I really enjoyed it.
While we drove back to Great Falls we stopped several times to take some pictures of the scenery. We didn't get to do this on our road trip so I asked Chris if we could stop on our way back. We got some really nice pictures of us and the Missouri river.
During one of these stops I tried to get down to the bank of the river on some very large but loose rocks and manage to fall on my ass. Scrapped up my arm and hand pretty bad and also brused my upper left butt cheek. The picture turned out nice so it was worth the tumble. :)
When we got back into to town we headed to Target. Now that we had food at home and wanted to cook stuff.. only issue was Chris has no pots or pans. So for his "apartment" warming present I got him a set of 5 pots and pans. He also picked up a few accessories as well.
We made some dinner and sat down to watch a movie that I had never seen Inception. I really wanted to see this movie when it came out but never got around to watching it (busy with work and podcasts). So when Chris suggested Inception I was very happy to watch it. I loved the movie overall. I had heard alot of hype about this film and did live up to expectations. The story was very cool. The effects were pretty awesome and now I understand why some folks loved or hated the ending. It was an all around great movie.
After Inception we watched a bit of TV before calling it a night.

Adventures in Montana - Day 8
HAPPY EASTER!!!
Today we started by playing some Super Mario, now I haven't played video games on a regular bases for over 30 years. And now I know why.. I suck at them. Don't get me wrong it's fun and I have a great time but I'm not good at them.
After gaming we headed over to Albersons to go grocery shopping. Now that Chris has a place we no longer have to eat out.. which is great since I'm farily sure I gained all the weight I lost the past few months :( But now we can make food here at home so hopefully it will be a bit healthier.
Chris spent alot of the day setting up his computer/gaming system while I tried to catch up on my blogging, I've fallen a week behind.
We did manage to watch one movie that I had never seen before Adventuresland, and I really enjoyed it. Not quite a comedy, though it had lots of humor. It's more of an off beat quirky kind of film.
Ended the night we some Friends before calling it a night.
