A Healthier Me - Day 104

So I took the day off yesterday from working out, it was only a cardio day but with Thanksgiving I wasn't in the mood to workout.

Since I had today off from work opted to work out later in the day. No need for me to get up early on a non-work day.

Today's Workout:

45 minutes of cardio on the elliptical
4 sets of 10 on the chest fly for my chest (75 lbs)
4 sets of 10 on the curl arm for my biceps (45 lbs)
4 sets of 10 working on my back (75 lbs)
4 sets of 10 for shoulders (45 lbs)
4 sets of 10 on the front leg press (45 lbs)

Since I missed my cardio I squeezed in an extra 15 minutes today.. really going to try and make that my norm starting next week. Still working on getting my cardio up to 1 hour all five days. Cardio is what I really need to lose the weight.. weight training is good but I'd rather be losing the weight then gaining the muscle.. at least at this point in my workouts.


  1. Yes, more cardio! Working with the weights at this point will build muscle mass. Since muscle is denser than fat, you prob won't see any weight loss. So think about what you want to focus on doing at this point. :)
    And don't forget nutrition and diet! Do you really want the creamy dressing versus a simple vinaigrette on that salad? ;)

  2. BTW, Kenny, you've inspired me to actually do something, so I signed up at the gym close to home. I'm hoping to get started tomorrow morning since I will be working 12-9PM. I need this flexibility. The ooutdoor cardio classes I had signed up for were great but with my work schedule these days, it's not working out. :(
