Tonight after a fun filled day of sight seeing with my buddy Erik we met up with Dallas, Doug and Jes to watch The Lego Movie up at Universal City Walk. Here's a brief synopsis: The LEGO Movie is an animated film which follows lead character, Emmet
a completely ordinary LEGO mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as
the most "extraordinary person" and the key to saving the Lego universe. Emmet and his friends go on an epic journey
to stop the evil tyrant, Lord Business, who is bent on destroying their
LEGO universe by gluing it all together.
I really enjoyed this movie. It had a slow start but really picked up some steam and had a very cool twist at the end, even brought me to tears... Lots of laughs and some very cool action scenes. They had a very catchy song "Everything is Awesome" you can't help but sing along and when you leave the theater it will be stuck in your head for hours. There were some funny gags and tag lines.. like SPACESHIP!!!SPACESHIP!!!SPACESHIP!!! Batman was especially hilarious. I will defiantly be buying this movie when it comes out on bluray.. might even see it again in the theater. I have The Lego Movie a solid B+
