England on Hold

I was beyond excited that I was finally going to travel to England and Ireland, it's been a dream of mine for such a long time and this May was it. I was going to do it no matter what. I didn't care that I haven't had a job in four months. I didn't care that my savings is almost gone. I kept telling myself I was going to go no matter what.

Damn me for being such a responsible person...

I have thought long and hard about the decision to postpone my trip and I feel at this time that it's the right one. I know that I should not spend thousands of dollars that I don't really have on a trip right now. I mean I do have a mortgage and no job. Finding a job should be my priority.

Does it suck.. oh yeah big time and it's killing me to have to put it off once again but I am going to get to England/Ireland and in fact get to all of Europe in the near future. That's my goal and once I get a job and save some money back up I'm booking my flight.. there's no stopping me.

  1. Good for you... hopefully when you're ready to go the exchange rate will be AWESOME for you... if I hear of anything, will send your way!

  2. Ah it sucks you aren't coming man, but you're right. Sometimes the responsible decision has to take precedence. We'll be here when you come anyway, so no worries!

  3. Just England and Ireland? Not Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

    1. When I say England I mean all of the UK.

    2. Make sure you don't say that when you're in the rest of the UK. We pretty much hate that. I've literally seen people be beat up for saying that in Scotland (Glasgow, specifically).

  4. Everyone should have a travel goal and a deadline to do it. Next year?
