Baby Groot & Supergirl

Today I got a surprise in the mail. My buddy Erik knows that I collect certain Pop! figures and he found one that I have been looking forward to getting since I heard they were going to release it. It's part of the Guardians of the Galaxy series, it's baby Groot in a pot. I have the "regular" Groot (thanks to my friend Aaron) so now I have both of them.

In geek news they announced the actress who will be playing Supergirl in the upcoming CBS TV series. Her name is Melissa Benoist, this series will be telling the story of Kara Zor-el, who escaped the destruction of her home planet before arriving on Earth, the show will deal with the 24-year-old Supergirl as she begins to embrace the powers our yellow sun provides her and gradually becomes the hero she’s destined to be.  

I'm unaware of this actress but she played Marley Rose on Glee and currently is in the movie Whiplash. This series is still in the early development stage but I'm hoping for good things.
